Autumn CSA -October 7

‍ ‍

  • Kale - Purple Curly & Lacinato (Dino)

  • Beans - Purple, Green, Yellow

  • Bacchus Radish -

  • Daikon Radish - One of the happiest fall crops we grow are radishes it seems. So many ways to prepare but here are some really great recipes and ideas!!

  • Kohlrabi - A type of brassica with flavor in between broccoli/cabbage and mild radish. The whole plant is edible! Shave the ‘bulb’ into thin slices to eat raw on salads or steam, roast, or sauté!

  • Eggplant - Italian & Asian

  • Red Onions

  • Beets

  • Bok Choy

  • Pac Choy - Pretty similar to Bok Choy just with beautiful purple stems and serrated leaves. Mild flavor great for putting in soups or braising/sautéing.

  • Peppers - Banana, Cornito, Lunchbox (Sweet) & Jalapeno (Spicy), Poblano (Mild)

  • Red Potatoes

  • Scallions/Green Onions

  • Shiso - This is a fragrant herb from the mint family. Its flavor is a combo of basil, cinnamon, anise, and citrus and can be a little astringent. Chop it up for a garnish or use as a wrap for sushi bites! More info here!

*** Exciting add on - EGGS! We’ve added a carton of eggs from Wanda Farms just this week. Enjoy!
